Training Course

THE TRAINING COURSE FOR CAPACITY BUILDING OF YOUTH WORK

​

The Training Course for capacity building of youth work entitled "H.E.Y.! "Heightening the Engagement of Youth" was organized between 24-27 July 2023. During the capacity building training programme participants had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skills and competences in important tools and methods, useful in providing support to NEETs/Returnees and other young people with fewer opportunities in their countries.

Youth workers, CSOs operators and social service providers working with youth are playing a key role in the longterm process of youth school-work transition and civic engagement, such as: good practices exchange, cross- disciplinary experiences, self-esteem and social connection, enhancing the role of young people as catalysts of inclusive and resilient societies in crisis response, recovery, and in preparation of future shocks.

The Training Course provided the opportunity to 28 participants from Cyprus, Italy, France, Ireland, Spain and Portugal to come together, formulate a transnational network of youth workers, educators, social operators, youth leaders, learn from each other during the training and later on support each other in the process of integrating sustainability knowledge and skills in the local training programmes.

 

At the same time the Training Course provided the opportunity for piloting the HEY Capacity building and resilience training programme for youth work in the transnational environment.

 

It also allowed partner organizations to identify a variety of possibilities for adjusting the programme to the diverse national contexts.

Participants also provided feedback about the Training Modules, which were improved, finalized and uploaded on the H.E.Y! E-learning and Training Platform.
